HaPpY nEw YeAr!!!

Two wheels or four...

Start it off with a BANG!

My new years resolution is to two wheel it every chance I get, make time for my ol' pals I rarely see, be the best husband and father I can be, and kick that nasty hoarding habit I've been hoarding... That ought to keep me busy for a year...

Hitched

Sunday October 23, 2011. My buddy Brandan, who is like a cousin to me, marrys Meghan. The wife (pictured on the left) and I borrrowed John's '49, equipped with 15 Dr Pepper cans to trail us, to drive off the newly weds. I had the best time I've had in a long time. Something about being surrounded by good people in good spirits... I saw people I hadn't seen in 20 + years. Stories of memories past, and of memories to come. Congratulations to the newlyweds. (And thanks Johhny for loaning me the ride at the last minute!)

1973

1973 Electra Glide

the one on the left

Donald's old hardtail.

Stumbled upon a 1973 FLH. Everything about it sounds just right. Even the price! Shook hands with the owner over the phone. Now all I have to do is come up with the dough. Selling the one on the left and Donald's old hardtail to aquire the FLH. The old K5 used to belong to my dad and has been in the family for 32 years. I never, NEVER, ever thought I'd be parting ways with this old pal of mine. I grew up in that truck and have a shit-ton of memories with that thing. I'l be really sad to part ways with the family truck, but I have plenty of memeories both good and bad. As for Donald's old hardtail, we made some memories too.

Friendship

Took the ol' CB across town to have a beer with an old friend. Seems like these days are all busy raising kids and dedicating time with the family. I need to set aside a lil' time for old pals, we're only getting older by the day... Check out Mike's blog and buy something... It'll make you cooler.

Christmas lights

Every year my ol' buddy Huck gets on the roof and helps me with the lights. It's not dangerous, it's tradition.

Artist Unknown

This guy has more talent in his little finger nail than a lot of people could ever obtain with a lifetime of training. Even if he didn't work for Dr Pepper I'd still love him. So many people will see his work around and not even know he's the one behind the scenes. I try to get involved when he does one of these. I keep him company and hand him things while he's on the ladder picking up little tips and tricks of the trade. One of these days Johhny I'm gonna take over!

Highlanders

Spent a few hours tonight across town with Bob and Mark. It's not often enough that we "responsible" young adults get together. Good times remembering the ol' eastside. We all grew up there and miss the "simple times" we had back in highschool, but we are all better off now adays... We are all very fortunate to had made it through those days, and we are all very fortunate to be making it where we are today. I think the Norris boys pop would be proud of his boys... I am.

Tattooed

If you know me you would had thought this would had been my first tattoo...

So I finally got my Dr Pepper tattoo. I went down to Randy Adam's Tattoo Studio and had Wil do this one for me. If you don't know Wil, he's a helluva nice guy. Some how I was introduced to Chad (who is no longer with us) to do about eight of my tattoos. Every time I was in Chad's chair good ol' Wil would stop and see what I was getting and make small talk. I was living about six blocks from the place at the time and would stop by regularly. If Chad was busy, I'd talk to Wil and watch him work. I really wanted Wil to tattoo me also, but was uncertain on how Chad would feel. He and I had become pretty tight. Now that he has departed this world, looks like I'm in good hands with Wil... If you are looking to get tattooed, I highly recommend Wil.
