The Missing Link

Had a driveshaft built the other day... $237.00. That is all I've been waiting on to go for a test drive. Burn outs are to come.

Bastard

$25 Bit. 23/32". Odd size unless you are tapping a 1/2" NPT.

Follow the green wire to the water temperature sending unit... Originally there was a steel tube pressed in. I had to remove the tube and tap the hole. Upon removal of the tube I found out thate the hole was slightly larger than 23/32"... BASTARD! Turns out I didn"t even need the drill bit. These LT-1 engines are a breed all there own. Performance wise it is great. Reliability is awesome and gas mileage is up there. My only real complaint is the oddity it is.

K5 #2 (The 78)

So I fired the ol' turd up tonight and coated the shop floor with oil. It just so happens that the transmission cooler line got a pin hole in it when it was in the 51. Other than that it's coming together nicely. It still needs drop spindles, radiator, exhaust and a drive shaft. I'll dye the seats and slap some carpet in it and color match the hood. Almost forgot... I'm gonna need some painted steelies and dog dish caps.
