Assistants

It's hard to find good help these days...
Work slowed up a little with the Texas Rangers being in the World Series. I took a half day off and surprised my wife with lunch. Sometime during lunch I decided I was going to ride out to Dublin. After reaching the half way mark (Granbury) I turned around and headed home. Just not enough time in  my book to make the trek...

Highlanders

Spent a few hours tonight across town with Bob and Mark. It's not often enough that we "responsible" young adults get together. Good times remembering the ol' eastside. We all grew up there and miss the "simple times" we had back in highschool, but we are all better off now adays... We are all very fortunate to had made it through those days, and we are all very fortunate to be making it where we are today. I think the Norris boys pop would be proud of his boys... I am.

Looks like rain

Looks like a few days of rain are headed our way so I took the trusty ol' girl out for about a 30 mile journey. I have a soft spot in my heart for these old Hondas. Fast, cheap, and easy... Sunday night rides are my favorite.

Let's get behind this to get a good thing going, being outside should be a must this time of year

Happy 37th old man!

Nothing says I love you like a cruise to a country that wont allow you...
Where do I start?.... My luggage was found... Get this, the guy checking us in at DFW tells me he's not gonna charge me for my bag because it's my birthday. Remember, you get what you pay for. Boston blamed Milwaukee, which minded me none, I just wanted my bag. Evidently my bag went back to Milwaukee from Boston, then back to Boston. The airline had a shuttle deliver it at the last moment, enabling us to make it to the cruise ship on time.

This was our "crash pad" for seven days/nights decorated all out for my birthday. Thanks babe, I love you!

Here is a beautiful view of Halifax, Nova Scotia as the sun is beginning to set.

My view for seven days on a smoke break.

Theodore the adorable little tour boat.

Greeted by customs in Canada...Long story.

If you have ever recieved a card as this I suggest that you get written permission to enter Canada!

You would had thought I was this guy the way I was treated!

Nothing like a 30 minute chat with Canada's finest!

Out to sea

Never been in this part of the world before.

Really neat hotel. Tiny, but neat. We were greated by the cheerful girl who asked for our I.D. and "kredit kod". Authentic Boston.

So we arrive in Boston and I'm standing back watching as the people look like zoo animals at feeding time when the conveyor starts to turn. After all the "animals get fed", I realize that we are missing a bag. It just so happens to be my bag. Hopefully I'll get it by tomorrow, it's got my everything in it.

Connecting flight in Milwaukee to Boston... This is where my luggage goes back to DFW.

We arrived at DFW a little late compared to the alot early we had alloted for.
Arive at the train station 1:20 ahead of schedule. This is the first leg of our trip. This is where it all started... Late train, then delayed with problems.

Vacation (Holiday)

No motorcyles for a whole week??? The wife is taking me on a birthday vacation. First time for just the two of us in right at four years. It'll be nice to spend some quality time with each other, but I'll miss home and all that goes with it, looking forward to a week of "grown up time".

Tattooed

If you know me you would had thought this would had been my first tattoo...

So I finally got my Dr Pepper tattoo. I went down to Randy Adam's Tattoo Studio and had Wil do this one for me. If you don't know Wil, he's a helluva nice guy. Some how I was introduced to Chad (who is no longer with us) to do about eight of my tattoos. Every time I was in Chad's chair good ol' Wil would stop and see what I was getting and make small talk. I was living about six blocks from the place at the time and would stop by regularly. If Chad was busy, I'd talk to Wil and watch him work. I really wanted Wil to tattoo me also, but was uncertain on how Chad would feel. He and I had become pretty tight. Now that he has departed this world, looks like I'm in good hands with Wil... If you are looking to get tattooed, I highly recommend Wil.
